Humboldt Park – Loft Innovation Terminal

Originally built in 1916 and completed in the 1940s, three warehouses totaling 250,000 sq. ft. in Chicago’s Humboldt Park are being revived as a 6-acre creative office campus called Humboldt LIT by developer IBT Group. A multi-tenant work environment is being proposed for the repurposed historic factory buildings of the former Pyle National Company.

The site features a smokestack retained as a focal point and branding opportunity of the complex. Redesign of the existing spaces will take advantage of high ceilings, exposed structure, and clerestory windows to maximize natural light and create open and flexible office spaces while celebrating the existing buildings’ industrial feel. The campus will also include outdoor workspaces, rooftop terraces, courtyard greenspace, as well as surface parking to support the campus and associated amenities.
