AJIB – Arab Jordan Investment Bank
Arab Jordan Investment Bank Headquarter, strategically located in the heart of the Shemesani financial district at Thaqafa Street in Amman, is an office building composed of three distinct volumes: main tower, service tower, and low-level building accommodating a branch bank.
The overarching design objective for this 15-story tower is to create a work of architecture that is consistent with the client’s image as the leading investment bank in Jordan—a building that will symbolize the bank’s commitment to modernity, its financial strength and its identity as a deeply Jordanian institution. The elegant steel and glass tower, comprising retail, administrative and executive functions, will be a handsome addition to Amman’s emerging skyline, while creating built space of extraordinary flexibility and environmentally responsive sophistication. Although the tower portion of the project expresses the bank’s public image, the architecturally defined courtyard adjoining the tower’s north façade embodies a private realm, a green and peaceful oasis in the heart of the city that evokes the historic courtyards of the Arab-Islamic architectural tradition.
