Putrajaya Sentral Master-Plan

This proposed Master-Plan seeks to redevelop the existing Putrajaya Sentral Train Station and Precinct 7. Overarching goal of the plan is to create a CBD through development of new Commercial Hub and elevate Putrajaya as a destination for investment and innovation with future technology as theme for the Development.

The redevelopment includes Grade A offices, Hotel, and Retail with elements of Residential to create: ‘Work, Live and Invest concept.’ Several opportunities exist to modernize Putrajaya Sentral to meet demands of the future and befitting the stature of Putrajaya as the Federal Administrative Centre. This would reposition Putrajaya Sentral as an Integrated Transportation Hub with the MRT, ERL, Buses and Taxis.

IDENTITY

The opportunity exists to create a transportation center as the catalyst for a vibrant new 21st-century identity for the city of Putrajaya, and as Putrajaya is the administrative capital, for Malaysia as well.

INTEGRATION

The opportunity exists to enhance and integrate the existing road network with Putrajaya and the multi-modal transportation aspects of the terminal and create an efficient and functional terminal serving the interchange of rails, buses, taxis and cars.

DENSITY

The opportunity exists to reinforce the public transportation system through the creation of higher-density uses immediately adjacent to the terminal. Density of development will create a critical mass that will allow for a self-sufficiency and sense of place in the Putrajaya Sentral Station.

DIVERSITY

The opportunity exists to create a vibrant and dramatic center through the implementation of a diversity of uses that will create a dynamic experience as the various workers, residents, visitors and travelers all interact.
