Journeyman Distillery
This is a repurposing of a shuttered factory that has been shuttered for 30 years in Valparaiso, Indiana. This mixed-use project is being developed at the site of the former ANCO windshield wiper plant. The property is currently zoned for heavy industry but would be rezoned as a planned unit development. The centerpiece of the exterior is a new glass curtain wall showcasing 40ft tall distilling stills. A grassy courtyard with seating is planned. The planned redevelopment is envisioned to provide a family-oriented experience with tastings, restaurants, event space, play areas, and an operational distillery.
